This is the main menu screen, as we have it today. For the longest time (the past few months), we had this pixellated Ai Yori Aoshi fan art for the backdrop, and the development team got extremely tired of looking at that.
The backdrop is likely to change. But it's better than what we had before :)
We're also toying around with different button looks. What you see is one of my favorites. It's nice and soft, with rounded edges, and the official Shira Oka burgundy.
Of course, it goes without saying that all of this stuff is subject to change. We'll keep you guys posted as we come up with prettier designs.
And now, for the main screen...
After a couple of iterations, here's the latest attempt at skinning the main screen. This is what players will be staring at the most.
The backdrop that's shown in the screenshot shows what your bedroom looks like. This place is in a lot of ways your "home base", as you make most of the week's decisions from here.
On the left are the activity, calendar, map, phonebook, and system options buttons, as well as a button for talking to the "angel". These are what you'll be using to examine the current state of things, as well as scheduling your weeks' activities.
On the top of the screen is the statbox, which shows your current score in various areas of expertise, as well as your physical and mental fatigue. Below the fatigue bars is a chibi head of yourself. We have some interesting plans revolving around that chibi head, so stay tuned.
We're particularly fond of the wispy edging around the statbox...so fond of it, in fact, that a lot of the general UI design is going to revolve around it (or so the plan goes presently).
